Monsyo-uwae-shi. Represents Kyo-gen.
Hatoba is a craftsman of "Monsyo-uwae-shi"(kamon designer), who draws and designs family crests by handwriting in traditional way. He started to express the family crest in a new form from the time when he reached 50 years old.
Since he learnt how to use ADOBE Illustrator from his son, his range of expressions has expanded by incorporating a method to represent family crests digitally. Now, he created a new service based on the concept of "family crest as design", and has a wide range of activities as one of the few craftsmen and designer who combines manual work and digital technology. Hatoba has regularly appeared in NHK TV-program "Design-a" and "Mon" since 2016.
